About Flight Defender

Our Mission

Flight Defender was founded with air passengers in mind to help them enforce their rights to compensation in case of flight delays, flight cancellations, denied boarding or missed flight connections.

After experiencing many flight disruptions and seeing how hard the airlines are trying to hide the information from travelers about their rights we thought this is not fair and it needs to change. Less than 2% of all air passengers entitled to reimbursement actually end up receiving it.

Fortunately, back in 2004, The Court of Justice of the European Union established the Flight Compensation Regulation, commonly known as EC 261, which sets out rules on compensation and assistance to passengers in the event of denied boarding, flight cancellations, or long delays of flights.

Even though passenger rights are clearly regulated, airlines tend to refuse to reimburse their passengers for disrupted flights. Their team of lawyers knows exactly how to prolong the process, deny the airline’s fault and avoid the obligation to pay compensation.
